New Rail Schedules in Effect, Added Service

Beginning Sunday, June 12, the CTA’s summer rail route schedule goes into effect. All eight rail routes will have new schedules in effect. Most routes continue to have the same general frequency and span of service, but arrival times may change up to a few minutes.
In addition, the following routes will have earlier morning and later evening rail service as follows:
Brown Line:
Weekday and Saturday mornings:
- From Kimball: The first train to Downtown will leave at 4am instead of 4:30am.
- From Belmont: Due to earlier trips going to the Loop, the first train to Kimball will leave at 4:55am instead of 4:25am.
Weekday and Saturday evenings:
- From Kimball: The last train to Downtown will leave at 1am instead of 12:30am.
- From Downtown: The last train to Kimball will leave at 1:30am instead of 1am.
Green Line:
Saturday and Sunday mornings: Service will operate approximately 30 minutes earlier from all terminals.
Orange Line:
Sunday mornings and evenings:
- From Midway: The first train to Downtown will leave at 4:30am instead of 5:30am. The last train to Downtown will leave at 1am instead of 11:30pm.
- From Downtown: The first train to Midway will leave at 4:55am instead of 5:50am. The last train to Midway will leave at 1:25am instead of 11:55pm.
The new train route schedules are now available so you can view them in advance.
